Your online business will not succeed if you're building it at a tactical level, instead of on the strategic level.
Recently, Patric Chan was able to have a private exclusive interview with Stephen Pierce to pick his brain on how to win in a niche market.
If you can't win in your online business, I won't suggest that you continue expanding it.

Guide to getting website traffic
1. Avoid the sandbox
Buy your domain name early, as soon as you have chosen your keyphrases and your company name. Get it hosted right away and put up a quick one page site say ing a little about who you are, what your sell, and that there will be more to come soon. Make sure it gets crawled by Google and Yahoo (either submit it or link to it from another site).

Getting Website Traffic
1.Keyword research
Before you do anything else, use a keyword research tool and do an extensive job rresearching the right keyphrases to use for your site. What keyphrases are your direct competitors using?
Are there any that you can put a spin on and create a whole new niche with?

2.Domain name
If you want to brand your company name, then choose a domain name that reflects it. If your company is ballooners, then get www.ballooners.com. If it's taken, then get www.balloonersfly.com. No dashes, and no more than two words in the domain if appropriate.

The most profitable business in the world is selling information. And by “information” I don’t mean just books. I’m talking about selling books, reports, videos, or software.Or to be more specific…selling downloadable books, videos, orsoftware on the Internet. Here are some of the key benefits of selling downloadable information products online:
1. You don’t have to stock or ship any inventory. (Before I“saw the light” about selling downloadable products, I sold larger items that were delivered through the mail. We had to dedicate an entire room of our house to stocking inventory…and we were always making last minute rush trips to the post office in order to meet deadlines. This is not fun.)
2. You don’t have to do anything when the product is sold. If you set up your business correctly then your products are delivered automatically right after someone buys. You can actually live the “Internetfantasy” of making money in your sleep.
3. You do the work once and get paid over and over. You don’t even have to do the initial work if you don’t want to.
4. Each sale is pure profit. Since you’re selling a downloadable product, you have no “hard cost”…so every sale is mostly“gravy”. In fact, the only money you “pay” is the cost of accepting credit cards…and this only happens when you make a sale.
